Founded in 1977, Shreveport Rugby Club [SRFC] has been building relationships between members of the community and their families, local businesses, students from area universities, and both long and short- term visitors to our area for over 30 years. Built on tenets of camaraderie, teamwork, and physical fitness, the club is a great organization for seasoned players, first- timers, and everyone in between looking to meet new people and build life-long friendships, while staying physically active and having a lot of fun at the same time.

Since its inception, Shreveport Rugby has been a diverse organization reaching much farther than just the ArkLaTex region. Our players from the Northwest LA area have traveled both around the country and internationally to play with other clubs; we have a host of team members from across the USA - many of whom are in the area working at Barksdale Air Force Base; and in 2013, a four year veteran of SRFC was selected to play for the U.S. Air Force Rugby 7’s team. Additionally, the club has been privileged to have players from around the globe, including Mexico, Canada, South Africa, the UK, Australia, and more.

Furthermore, the culture of Shreveport Rugby extends well beyond just the men who play for the club; all of our home matches are played on Saturdays at A.C. Steere Park, which is the perfect place to spend an afternoon supporting the team, socializing with friends, or simply playing in the park with your family. So whether you are looking for a way to stay active and competitive, to build lasting relationships, or just a great activity to enjoy with friends and family, connect with us on Facebook, or contact us directly for more information and schedules.
